Draw It Out Salve
I’m a big believer in having things on hand before you need it. (I’ve learned my lesson) A couple weeks after I made this salve I was out with my family & my six month old got stung by a bee. Scary moment for a mama! Especially if you don’t know if there is an allergy or not. Luckily I had this in my bag. I pulled the stinger out, put a thick dime size amount of the salve where she had been stung & put a bandage over it. The redness & swelling went down within minutes. It worked like magic. I reapplied it when we got home & put a fresh bandaid on. By the morning you couldn’t even see a mark from where she had been stung.
Not only is this good for insect bites or stings of all kinds, but this salve is great at drawing out infection, bringing splinters & in-growns to the surface & providing relief if you come across some poison ivy or poison oak.
To make this salve even more effective we use the alcohol intermediary method which really helps to extract the alcohol soluble chemical constituents of specific herbs in this salve.
NET WT 2 OZ.
Directions: Apply a thick amount to the affected area as needed. I like to also put a bandage over the area & let it sit for a few hours. Reapply as needed.
